**Job Description**:
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Architectural Project Project Manager for immediate employment in the Markham, Ontario office. The appropriately qualified applicant will act as ""Facility Design Lead"" on a Toronto Subway extension project. We are seeking a licensed Architect with experience delivering multifaceted public transportation projects to local municipal and regional government clients.At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world. We’re one global team - over 50,000 strong - driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Manage multi-disciplinary teams in completion of projects from inception to construction completionPrepares correspondence, reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutesCommunicate with clients, agencies and project stakeholdersPerform business development and marketing activities to current and potential clients in order to generate future businessComplies with and oversees execution of company procedures in accordance with the AECOM Project Delivery System and Q-Dash (QA/QC program)Manages project financial performance, monthly reporting and client invoicingManages project costs using Earned Value Management principlesEngages external sub-consultant and manages their work flow as neededDevelops project schedules using Work Breakdown Structure principlesAnticipates problems and proactively consults with others to identify the cause and remedies before they inhibit project successResolves controversies (i.e., conflicts with sub consultants, staffing issues with department mangers due to work flow priorities)Interfaces regularly with the customer and project stakeholdersEvaluates workload projections and staffing requirements pertaining to assigned projectDelegates duties within the project team as necessary to assure compliance with project budget, quality, schedule and deadlines
**Qualifications**:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. 4+ years of experience in the area of design and Project Management on large public transit infrastructure projectsLicensed Architect.Valid Canadian driver’s license. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Project Management Professional (PMP) designationStrong project management, technical and analytical skillsStrong technical writing skills; experienced in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposalsExperience managing TTC and Metrolinx design projects from inception to constructionWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of productsWorking knowledge of Earned Value Management and Critical Path scheduling techniquesDemonstrated experience in working within a consulting engineering environment with multi-disciplined teams,Sound judgement; highly developed time management, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAdditional Information:Relocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship is not available for this position.
