**Production Planner**

- **The Production Planner will be**_* _responsible for:_*

Purchasing raw materials and shipping finished goods according to customers’ requests while supporting the policies and standard operation procedures of HWCA.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and monitor the movement of parts and materials within the facility and ensure materials and finished goods products are received and shipped on schedule.
- Liaise with customers in regards to mass production delivery concerns.
- Issue purchase orders to HWCA suppliers and coordinate transportation to the factory with assigned carriers. Feedback any shipping damage concerns to suppliers and carriers.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods. Adjust inventory in MRP system as required.
- Assist other HWCA departments to help resolve material or component issues.
- Generate reports and spreadsheets for HWCA management and customer locations.
- Act as a back-up for shipper / receiver when required.
- Prepare production schedules daily
- Other duties and tasks as required

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Must have strong math skills, working knowledge of MS Office (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Valid fork truck certificate.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must be a team player and work overtime as required.
- Ability to train and coach others as well as willingness to learn.
- Ability to work alone with little supervision.
- Demonstrates 5S management standards and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation will be based on qualifications and work experience. This is a full time position and the company also offers a benefit package including a company matching RRSP program.
