Custodian/cleaner

RMD Engineering is a Saskatchewan owned, fully Integrated, design, fabrication, installation and maintenance engineering company serving the manufacturing, industrial automation, research, and resource development sectors. The RMD group of companies is currently looking for a reliable permanent part-time Custodian.

This position is for 10-15 hrs a week. The hours could be flexible to work into your life schedule.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Custodians work to create a clean, orderly, and safe environment by performing a wide variety of cleaning and maintenance activities. They are a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years custodian experience.

Ability to perform physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and reaching.

Team player with strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

Must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills.

Current WHIMIS Certificate.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understanding and complying with all Company Quality/Safety policies, procedures and rules.

Ensuring that all required and appropriate PPE be worn at all times.

Sweeping and mopping floors.

Disinfecting and stocking washrooms.

Cleaning lunchrooms.

Cleaning all high touch surfaces.

Complete non-routine cleaning as specified.

Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.

Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

Follow all area specific cleaning work instructions.

AUTHORITIES:
Refuse unsafe and untrained work.

Ask for and have access to information required to work safely.

Participate in the company’s safety program.
