SGL is currently seeking a Co-op student to join our growing team in the Engineering department. You will be working at the head office location in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

**Responsibilities of the Position**:

- Assisting in devising and overseeing of any tests required to demonstrate proof of concept or functionality and generation of applicable schematics and reports.
- Assist the Lead Mechanical Manufacturer and Designer in review of Engineering drawings and designs.
- Assist in mechanical assemblies by the Engineering Department.
- Assist and facilitate training to assigned technicians in the field of composite structures fabrication.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Current enrollment in a Post-Secondary institution in Mechanical Engineering program, Aircraft Maintenance program, or similar related discipline.
- Eligibility to hold an ACA within SGL Maintenance Department (Asset)
- Experience in composite manufacturing and assemblies
- Experience and or exposure in welding structures manufacturing and assemblies
- Experience in geophysical survey equipment (Asset)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Good organizational skills
- Good report writing skills.
- Familiarity with CAD principles and techniques for technical drawings.
