**Drilling Groundman**

**Position Summary**

The **Drilling Groundman **is in good physical condition and provides support to the driller as required; signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement or adjustment of machinery, equipment or materials to ensure timely project completion. The **Drilling Groundman** follows good work practices and procedures and sets a good example for new crew members and co-workers. The groundman may operate a variety of equipment and instruments, including hand and power tools.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with the driller operator to drill and install piling systems in accordance with the project specifications
- Assist with equipment inspections and movements
- Perform a variety of general construction work as required on the job site
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
- Accept direction from the Lead Driller and from the Field Supervisor and/or Project Manager as required

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of construction is required and previous experience in drilling would be an asset
- Be physically fit and hard working
- Have excellent attendance, punctuality and dependability
- Have the interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively on a team
- Be self-motivated, take initiative and be keen to learn new skills
- Have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
- Located in the Greater Vancouver area, some out of town work but THIS IS NOT A CAMP JOB

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
