**SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY-CULTURE CAMP COUNSELLOR**

**About Us**:
The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association (SAEA) is a Not-for-Profit Organization with Charitable Status that represents a wide diversity of ethnic societies and clubs in southern Alberta. Since 1977, the SAEA has been showcasing ethnic diversity in southern Alberta by highlighting different global cultures, languages, cuisines, cultural dancing, performances and ethnic music, as well as thoughts and philosophies. SAEA has been an iconic organization representing some of the most culturally and ethnically diverse groups in our multicultural nation.

**Role**:
**Job Requirements**:

- Plan, develop and deliver cultural programming for children aged 6-12 years.
- Be available for 35 hours per week, including weekends, weekdays, and some evenings.
- Represent Southern Alberta Ethnic Association in a professional manner.
- Assist with major cultural events and festivals, including setup, tear down and participation.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must have reliable transportation to be available for shifts at the Multicultural Centre and off-site if needed
- Alberta Drivers license or equivalent required
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Experience working with children is a strong asset
- Experience in customer service
- Ability to speak a second language (asset but not required)

This position will start **June 17, 2024** and end **on August 21, 2024**

Additional Information:

- $19.00/hour
- **Must be between the ages of 16-30 years and returning to school in the Fall of 2024.**
