**Job Profile**

This role is responsible for managing a number of events each year, with a focus on flawless execution, superior client experience delivery, and excellent communication. The role works independently and collaboratively, with occasional input and direction from the head of events as required.

**Key Responsibilities**

Plan and manage all operations for each symposium, including but not limited to event budget, supplier contract negotiation and management, venue floorplans & logistics, food & beverage, audiovisual, run sheets, on-site logistics, registration and post-event reporting

Coordinate with key sponsors as required, including invoice and benefit management and other event logistics such as booths & collateral

Work closely with marketing and content teams to ensure timely management of event speakers and marketing materials

Participate in board & advisory committee meetings as needed

Support head of event planning as required

Use technology tools and systems to manage processes, including Microsoft Office, AdobeSign, OneDrive, and other software tools as appropriate

Document and maintain a detailed blueprint for the role to enable others to learn the role as required

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Commitment to delivering a superior client experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading, with meticulous attention to detail

Highly collaborative with both clients and team members, with a solid ability to build relationships, partnerships and networks

Resourceful and able to work independently with initiative and good judgment. Effective time management, organization and prioritization skills with the ability to focus on varied projects

**Key Requirements**

5+ years of experience in global event design/management or other programs

Strong event planning, event management, and execution skills required

Strong budgeting skills to develop and manage event program budgets while mitigating risk

Knowledge of hotel and venue contracting, including audio-visual and production elements, offsite programs, and resource management

Experience in professional services and/or event planning environments with multiple stakeholder groups/committees and consensus management, preferred

Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, without restrictions, approximately 5-10% per year

**Education/Training**

Post-secondary education or certification in hospitality, marketing, business, project management or equivalent experience

Preferred certifications (not required): Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certification in Meeting Management (CMM), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)
