Greater Sudbury, Canada Northern Ontario Surgical Centre Full time

Northern Ontario Surgical Centre (NOSC) is one of the largest private surgical centres in Ontario. NOSC includes Barr Plastic Surgery, Skin MediSpa, Sudbury Vein Clinic, Weight Loss North, and Ontario Stem Cell.

The Janitor will clean and service medical clinic and administrative building areas, performing a variety to duties in order to maintain orderly and sanitary condition at all times including but not limited to:

- Light maintenance work such as inspecting for and replacing burned-out light bulbs, cleaning out water reservoirs, and occasionally picking up cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Assisting with picking up debris, sweeping walk ways, washing exterior windows, watering planters that are not on the irrigation system and other tasks around the building's exterior
- Cleaning and disinfecting water feature
- Detecting and reporting issues with equipment and arranging/meeting with outside service personnel to attend onsite.
- Empty trash and cleaning surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect operating and consultation rooms
- Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, walls, and mirrors
- Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean
- Deep clean and buff floors
- Clean and disinfect public and staff washrooms service restrooms and maintain needed supplies
- Facility laundry
- Receive office and medical supplies, redistribute to proper areas for storage and future use

**Skills Required**:

- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to receive and act on direction

Must have a positive attitude
- Ability to work with required equipment and perform physically active work throughout the work shift
- Must have the ability to lift 35 lbs. and to climb stairs and ladders
- Demonstrated ability to learn skills in general building sanitation, maintenance items for the facility and to become proficient in tasks after a period of instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely with a variety of tools, equipment and cleaning products.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work independently, with little or infrequent supervision.

**Job Requirements**
- Two years of experience in building cleaning and general maintenance.
- Previous Experience in sterilization techniques considered an asset

, Monday through Friday (every 2nd Friday off). Daytime hours.

Benefits after one year of full time employment including extended medical and dental. Group RRSP contribution after one year of full time employment.

**Salary**: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour depending on experience
