Central Park Region, is searching for a qualified individual to fill the role of Park Operations Supervisor in Grand Beach Provincial Park.

Conditions of Employment:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess and maintain a valid full stage Manitoba class 5 drivers licence
- Must be physically able to perform the duties assigned to the position such as standing, bending and lifting periodically
- Must be willing and able to travel with occasional overnight stays

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Degree or diploma in Resource Management, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Municipal Management or a related field, with experience in a multi disciplined park or public works environment. An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may also be considered.
- Experience working with municipal type infrastructure such as water/waste water systems, roads, public use facilities and/or construction trades.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholder groups as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to analyze, solve problems and make decisions.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads, multi-task, and work on concurrent assignments with strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently under mínimal supervision.
- Effective written communication skills.

**Desired**:

- Experience in Workplace Safety and Health safe work practices.
- Experience managing budgets and tracking expenditures.

**Duties**:
Under the supervision of the Park District Manager the incumbent is responsible for assigned activities that relate to park operations in the aspect of delivering, planning, managing, maintenance and construction projects in Grand Beach Provincial Park District. This includes the campground, day use areas, roads and trail systems, specialty use areas and extensive beach/day use areas. The incumbent will be accountable to ensure programs are cost effective, delivered within pre-approved parameters and that professional business like quality customer service is delivered to the Departments clients.
