**Basic Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Retail Supervisor the **Order Assembler** is responsible for assembling lumber orders for delivery or pickup for our customers. Mathematical skills and measurement skills are important for this position. You will learn about different lumber species, grade, and dimensions and provide our customers with this information in a timely, efficient and proper manner. The manual sorting, piling of wood products is a very physically demanding role. If you enjoy a physical role and don’t mind working in all types of environmental conditions this role will be a good fit for you. You will be working in a warehouse/retail environment experience with back of house operations will be a real asset.

**Specific Duties**:

- All **Order Assembler’s **are expectedto work as a team and ensure that production does not back-up and stop the flow of lumber from being processed through the warehouse.
- Assembling customer orders according to specifications.
- Completing paperwork for inventory adjustments.
- Use of power tools.
- Ability to take measurements using a tape measure and other measurement devices.
- Some customer service duties when speaking directly with clients.
- During downtime:

- Clean and sweep work area
- Replenish empty stock items
- Other housekeeping duties as assigned

**Work Setting**:Sawmill / Lumber Yard.

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**:Physically demanding role, manual dexterity, Handling heavy loads, repetitive tasks, standing for extended period of time.

**Weight Handling**: Up to 45kg (100 lbs).

**Own Tools/Equipment**:Steel-toed safety boots.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
