Fitzrovia is seeking a dedicated and proactive Groundskeeper to join our team at our new property, Sloane, located across from Yorkdale Mall. The Groundskeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of our property, ensuring that all outdoor areas are pristine and welcoming for residents and guests. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to the overall resident experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain the grounds, including lawns, gardens, walkways, common areas and amenities ensuring they are clean, well-manicured, and free of trash and debris
- Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to enhance the property's appearance
- Ensure that all outdoor amenities, including pools, hot tubs, dog parks, and playgrounds, are clean, safe, and properly maintained
- Assist with snow removal, salting, and other seasonal tasks to ensure resident safety during inclement weather
- Respond promptly to resident requests and service needs, maintaining a positive and professional attitude
- Monitor and report any issues related to property grounds that may require further maintenance or repair, ensuring any hazards are addressed quickly
- Assist the Maintenance team with property-wide projects, including moving furniture, setting up for events, and other tasks as needed
- Safeguard and maintain all tools and equipment used in groundskeeping, ensuring they are in proper working condition
- Support the cleaning staff with waste management, including garbage cleanup and disposal as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of tasks completed and report them through the online portal in a timely manner
- Support the maintenance team with ad-hoc maintenance requests as needed at the property
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and presentation of the property by performing inspections and addressing areas needing attention

**Qualifications and Experiences**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related maintenance roles
- Knowledge of landscaping practices, tools, and equipment, with the ability to operate machinery such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and snow blowers
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to maintain high standards of property appearance
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for interacting with residents, coworkers, and management
- Basic understanding of safe working practices and the use of protective gear and equipment
- Familiarity with property management software and online portals is an asset

**On-Call Expectations**:

- The Groundskeeper is expected to be available for on-call duties as scheduled. This includes responding to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular working hours to ensure building and resident safety and comfort

**Workplace Conditions**:

- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Working in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in challenging weather conditions
- Working in construction environments during the property's opening phase, with exposure to dust, heat, noise, and other related conditions
- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
