Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.

The Director of Clinical Informatics is currently seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst. The purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with stakeholders, technical experts and/or vendors as required. Using critical and creative thinking the Clinical Informatics Analyst analyzes, prioritizes and translates user needs and requests related to the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Acts as the translator for the needs of the patient/clinicians/organization in the utilization of the EHR
- Research/design/build integrating screens and links that enable best practices and clinical decision support into clinical workflow at the point of care.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify new policies and procedures required to support Clinical Informatics initiatives.
- Support the implementation of the Electronic Health Record by defining customer requirements, workflow and process analysis, project communications, unit and integrated design testing, implementation and go-live support.
- Develop training plans, training materials in a variety of mediums and other electronic health record-related supporting documentation; understands and applies the principles of adult education while providing training to stakeholders.
- Uses project management, process and quality improvement and change management methodologies in all aspects of work; triages and manages issues effectively using a collaborative, customer service focused approach to supporting stakeholders and resolving issues.

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary education in clinical, health science, information technology and/or health informatics
- Registered with professional college in good standing
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Preference for Meditech experience
- Proven experience with project management
- Demonstrated success with change management process, redesigning clinical processes and/or business processes
- Proven understanding of and experience with needs assessment and analysis methodologies
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language
