The bookkeeper, is responsible for supporting the operations of the Accounting and Tax functions. The bookkeeper assists the preparers with such tasks as bookkeeping, compilation of working papers, GST/PST preparation, WCB preparation, and financial statement preparation. The bookkeeper may also assist with miscellaneous tasks and special projects.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Provide administrative support to the Partners, including preparing synoptics, Quickbook files to complete general ledgers, and light tax preparation.
- Bookkeeping (Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online)
- Compilation of year end working paper files using Caseware
- Preparation of simple, T1, T2 income tax returns
- Preparation of T4 and T5 supplementaries and slips
- Preparation of GST / PST / WCB returns

- Demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite;
- Knowledge of the Canadian accounting world, with a focus on the various CPA functions

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least three years’ experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role in a business context; and
- High school diploma (Bachelors degree (BA, BSc, BCOM, BBA)
- Knowledge of Excel is required
- Knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Intuit Profile, and Caseware is preferred

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
