Job Title: Certified General Machinist

Qualifications: Five (5) plus years’ experience
- Attention to detail
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, do repetitive tasks, meet tight deadlines
- Work overtime when required
- Ability to live up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to inspect work to assure parts conform to blueprints by use of precision measuring equipment
- Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities: Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as Micrometers, Venier Calipers and other precision measuring tools
- Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
- Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders etc.
- Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
- Work well with others in a team environment
- Transform complicated drawings and sketches into parts
- Maintain safety procedures for self as well as for others
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
- Clean and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled on machines, tools and equipment
- Other duties as assigned.
