**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working with the Sales, Quality Control & Area Managers, you will be responsible for the successful operation of Foothills Ready Mix. Including, but not limited to, flatwork, foundations, service & warranty, heating & hoarding, fleet maintenance, invoicing and other office duties.**Key Responsibilities**
- Managing the day-to-day operations, and coordination with Operations Manager.
- Reporting and administrative function to the Operations Manager and various team members.
- Development and training of staff, both office and field
- Assist the customer in assessing their needs and complimenting with Lafarge products and services.
- Identification of potential opportunities in product development.
- Assist in development of best practices of emerging products and services.
- Monitor and evaluate competitor activities.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relations.
- Purchasing activities.
- Ensure a safe work place.
- Ensure excellent product quality and customer service.
- Ensure excellent relations with employees.
- Ensure excellent relations with customers and trades alike
- Procurement of personnel, both internal and subcontractor.
- Setting up short and long-term plans, to ensure vision of the business unit remains compatible with all other market forces and competitors.

**Results/Accountabilities**
- Resolution of employee and customer concerns and disputes.
- Analysis and improvement of work processes.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with excellent product and service quality.
- Monitor and approve employee field logs
- Monitor and approve employee expenses
- Supervise and assist with scheduling
- Supervise and ensure quality and quality control
- Maintain contact with General Contractor style customers.
- Work closely with production and delivery personnel.
- Supervise a team of community/ area managers
- Discipline of personnel, both internal and subcontractor.
- Supervise a service & warranty team
- Supervise heating & hoarding team
- Supervise an internal prep crew
- Supervise a large group of subcontractors
- Assist with contract drafting and negotiations
- Supervise and capture fleet requirements of up to 20 vehicles

**Qualifications**

**Education and Work Experience**
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Associate or Undergraduate degree preferred or combination of education & experience.
- Five (5) years of ready-mix or related construction industry experience.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Good leadership and motivational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of plants, trucks and equipment.
- Must have basic computer literacy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Strong knowledge of residential building process
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Dedication, reliability and determination to learn and grow the business
