**PAYROLL ANALYST (PERMANENT, FULL-TIME)**

**FINANCE DEPARTMENT**

- Post-secondary diploma in Payroll, Accounting or Business Administration is required.
- Minimum three years of direct, hands-on experience with payroll is required; preferably in a municipal environment.
- Certification with the National Payroll Institute is required.
- Previous payroll experience in a multi-union environment and/or with long-term care homes, an asset.
- Previous experience with OMERS or other defined benefit pension plans.
- Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation and related provincial Employment Standards.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a "continuous improvement" mindset.
- Demonstrated time-management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent customer-service orientation with the ability to develop and maintain cooperative and collaborative internal working relationships.
- Effective verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries from management and staff.
- Ability to demonstrate professional and ethical responsibility to protect privacy, use confidential information appropriately and treat sensitive situations with appropriate degree of tact and discretion.
- Proficiency in Financial software (TownSuites, Questica), reporting software, and Microsoft Office with a high competency level in Excel.
- Ability to use software report writers to create and generate reports with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proof of a satisfactory criminal background check.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $96,928.35-$135,723.09 per year
