**Level 3 Early Childhood Educator, Early Years**

The Northern Alberta YMCA is looking for someone who enjoys teaching and developing others to fill the position of Early Childcare Educator to provide high quality care and service to families in YMCA Childcare programs by implementing and teaching programs.
**We are seeking Part-time Childhood Educators throughout the Edmonton area available**:
**Mon-Fri: 7-9AM and/or 3-6PM**
- **Responsibilities**
- Consistently represent YMCA’s values and mission, comply with all YMCA Policies, procedures and Provincial Licensing regulations
- Work and communicate with a team to implement Child Care curriculum which may include Playing to Learn, FLIGHT and A Place to Connect.
- Guide and redirect children in situations when conflicts arise using a variety of positive child guidance techniques
- Ensure children are accounted for at all times
- Treat all families respectfully, bearing in mind their values, culture and background
- Build relationships with families and communicate, verbally and in writing on a daily basis
- Commitment to Health and Safety and Child Protection Policies and Procedures
- Attend all required professional development and training opportunities
- Consistently provide a safe and clean environment following all cleaning procedures
- Completed required administrative tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Experience working with children
- Level 3 Child Care Certification (or in progress)
- Standard or Child Care First Aid & CPR - C
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check
