Strategic Planner

This role is tasked with leading continuous improvement (CI) projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and responsiveness within the supply chain. It will oversee projects ranging from fleet order management to cycle time improvements, as well as introducing new functionalities and developing communication processes.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and a deep understanding of supply chain operations.

**What You Will do**:
- Ensure continuous operation of the supply planning team by providing coverage and support for team members during 36 weeks of vacation, maintaining productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinate with team members to manage workload distribution and ensure seamless operations during absences.
- Oversee the creation, review, and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all planning activities, ensuring documentation is current and reflects best practices.
- Ensure all team members are trained on and adhere to established SOPs, promoting consistency and compliance across planning operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve planning operations and team knowledge.
- Lead and manage continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing supply chain efficiency and responsiveness, including but not limited to:
- Fleet Order Management: Streamlining order management processes for fleet operations to improve delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Change Order Process Improvements: Enhancing the change order process to reduce lead times, improve flexibility, and minimize costs.
- Process for Possible Crisis: Developing and implementing robust processes to manage and mitigate impacts from potential crises on the supply chain.
- Cycle Time Improvements: Identifying opportunities to reduce cycle times across manufacturing, improving overall speed and responsiveness.
- FST - New Functionality Review / Roll Out:
- Lead the review and rollout of new functionalities within (FST), ensuring enhancements align with business needs and supply chain objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new functionalities.
- Design and implement a structured communication process ensuring clear and effective information exchange between all stakeholders.
- Monitor and refine the communication process based on feedback and trial outcomes to enhance collaboration and trial success.
**Position Details**:
- Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.
- Travel up to 50% for business needs
- Travel mostly occurs between Calgary and Leduc’s manufacturing plants, as needed.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- High school diploma.
- Advanced user in MS Suite and SAP.
- 1-2 years of experience in Project Management.
- Highly motivated individual with strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge in project management, supply chain management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adaptability and collaboratively working across departments to drive efficiency and innovation within the supply chain teams.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Document management experience.
