Reena is hiring a
**Summer Job Coach** to work in the Summer Employment Transitions (SET) program. As a job coach, you would be providing vocational training, and employment support to high school students with developmental disabilities.

This is a great opportunity for University/College students looking for full-time employment during the Summer in healthcare, social service, medical, human resources and community sectors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate engaging, interactive virtual Job Readiness Skills Training workshops using a variety of e-learning, multi-media learning tools on a virtual platform to help students build their soft, hard and workforce skills
- Provide students with virtual 1-1 job coaching sessions and supports with developing and implementing an Employment Action Plan to help them secure summer jobs as well as work after the summer including: resume and cover letter preparation; job interview preparation; soft skills training; networking; disclosure and accommodations; and on site job coaching at the employer’s workplace
- Outreach to new and existing employers to identify safe, COVID friendly summer employment opportunities
- Keeping updated tracking records of activities with participants and parents while adhering to privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Updating information/records on management information systems and assisting in compiling monthly reports
- Managing relationships with students, their parents, the teachers and the employers to ensure a successful paid placement
- Ongoing and transparent communication with the supervisor, coordinator and team and supervisor especially when there is a challenge or problem

**Qualifications**:

- Passion for and interest in helping people with disabilities with employment
- Experience in supported employment sector (an asset - willing and open to learning the skills is key)
- Post-Secondary education in; Employment/Career Counselling or Social Services / Human Services, Human Resource/Recruitment and/or business fields (an asset)
- Entrepreneurial spirit with Superior customer service skills to be able to work with both employer, student, parents and teachers to ensure a successful placement.
- Previous experience working or volunteering with youth who identify with a developmental/intellectual and/or Autism disability (an asset)
- Knowledge of current Labour Market, Employer Expectations, Health & Safety, Crisis Intervention and First Aid Certifications (an asset)
- Experience with facilitating interactive trainings, presentations and/or workshops on Zoom
- Strong technical/computer skills utilizing all Microsoft Office Applications; virtual platforms (zoom), Google forms, and interactive learning tools (for example, Kahoot); social media skills
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment with limited supervision, well organized, team player
- Ability to learn quickly, adaptable, flexible, resourceful with the ability to set and meet deadlines and targets

In 1977, Reena began receiving funding from the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services and since that time has grown to provide support for hundreds of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
