Director of Care

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Oversee the daily operations of the care department, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Manage medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health and well-being, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Maintain budgetary oversight for the care department, optimizing resources while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in senior care.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in senior care management or a related field, with a strong understanding of retirement living.
- Previous supervisory experience is essential, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is required.
- Strong budgeting skills with experience managing departmental finances effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- A background as a nurse in good standing with the CNO as an RN or RPN is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $64,000.00 per year
