**RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC**
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

**Position summary**

We are hiring a part-time research assistant to support a study that aims to: 1) assess the feasibility of tuberculosis (TB) nutritional interventions in high burden TB countries, and 2) assess the acceptability of nutritional interventions among people with TB (including multidrug-resistant TB), and their household contacts, in high burden settings. The successful applicant will report directly to the PI (Dr. Stephanie Law).

**General Duties**

ROLE:
The primary responsibilities are:

- Work with the PI to design and conduct the study,
- Liaise with external collaborators and NGO partners,
- Study recruitment and data collection, including conducting qualitative interviews,
- Engage in administrative duties related to projects,
- Assist with reports, presentations and manuscripts.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate ethics submission process
- Recruitment of participants through various international, national and community NGOs
- Coordinate and communicate with NGO partners
- Data collection and analysis for the feasibility study
- Conduct in-depth interviews with participants for acceptability study (participants will be in various time zones, and done with or without interpreters)
- Support the PI in conducting qualitative data analysis, preparing results for presentation and publication

**Education / Experience**

Education: Master's Degree.
Field of Study: Medicine, public health, epidemiology, social sciences, and related fields.
Work Experience: At least 6 months of research experience in global or public health.

**Required Skills**:

- Working fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience with study recruitment and coordination
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytic skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from different sociocultural backgrounds
- Proficiency in any Eastern European, South/Southeast Asian, Latin American languages an asset
- Training in qualitative research methods asset
- Familiarity with TB and TB treatment an asset

**Additional information**

**Status** : Temporary Part-Time (15 hours per week)
**Pay Scale**: $26.65 to $49.50. Commensurate with education & work experience.
**Work Shift**: Flexible
**Work Site**: Remote
