Youth Employment Coach

The Youth Employment Coach provides leadership training and coaching to youth participanting in the EDGE program and facilitates placement of participants in appropriate and meaningful job trials with local employers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop course material and facilitates classroom/workshops for groups and 1-1 training sessions both online and in-person
- Provides counselling and coaching to support individuals with barriers to employment by providing support, advocacy, and resources
- Facilitates and provides mentorship during clients’ placement/work opportunities
- Develops strategies to identify and facilitate job retention
- Liaises with community partners and actively engages in outreach activities to promote program and recruit participants
- Build partnerships with community businesses through outreach activities and establishing employment opportunities for job seekers

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in social services, education, and/or human resources management
- 2 to 5 years of experience in employment counselling, recruitment, training, and/or human resource management
- Proficiency in both official languages is an asset
- Must have a class G license, access to a reliable insured vehicle and have a good driving record
