**Case Pricing Analyst**

**Why you’ll love this role**:
The Pricing Analyst provides day-to-day support to internal stakeholders, provides analytical expertise to Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents and prepares and manages pricing related documentation and activity. The incumbent is guided by defined procedural constraints and works under the moderate supervision of the Manager Group Underwriting.

**What you’ll be working on**:- Ensure that aggregate subsidy execution and net sales goals are achieved through the collaborative, proactive and effective execution of sales, amendment and renewal pricing activities- Ensure the effective coordination and delivery of administrative, renewal, plan amendment and new business documentation is provided to Group Distribution Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents- Engage in proactive discussions with internal stakeholders to support the retention and development of business- Calculate and negotiate rates within defined parameters; collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop creative solutions that support business objectives- Collaborate with stakeholders on business cases to support pricing decisions; conduct risk assessments and make decisions on final pricing within defined parameters-
- Engage with internal stakeholders to determine external advisor classification rankings and provide supporting material to conduct regular reviews on advisors- Act as liaison between business units; collaborate and build strong working relationship with peers in the identification of business opportunities and solutions; communicate with and influence stakeholders- Develop and coordinate preparation of various reports; conduct review and analysis of data as required for effective business unit operations; identify irregularities and recommend solutions; communicate with Senior Management to support strategic decision making- Make decisions in a timely manner and communicate to the appropriate internal stakeholders- Ensure relevant documentation is maintained to facilitate team collaboration- Ensure effective communication to internal stakeholders

**What you’ll need to have**:
- 3+ years work experience in group insurance/financial services industry- Knowledge of underwriting principles and technical pricing capabilities- Working knowledge of group products, contract provisions and administrative procedures- Demonstrated experience in a group sales and service environment is beneficial, but not required-
- Knowledge of relational database querying, the ability to write SQL, managing large data sets and basic reporting- GBA or working towards- Completion of a University degree in business administration or related discipline- Combination of education or experience in data science/analytics/visualization, design & systems thinking, business analytics, finance or economics- Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems- Financial analysis; trend analysis- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects- Well-developed communication, negotiation, persuasion and/or presentation skills- Ability to conduct research and analysis- Ability to organize/schedule both people and information- Ability to use current business software- Creative problem solver / data-based root cause solution bias

**It would be nice for you to have**:
- Previous experience in Group Insurance to be considered an asset- Background in data analytics and mathematics
