Auto Body Apprentice

**Job description**

The Auto Body Prepper prepares surfaces for the automotive painter and applies the appropriate masking techniques to ensure a seamless paint finish. Apprenticeship training for the 310Q Auto Body Repairer License

Responsibilities:
- Finish sanding and prime repairs
- Sand and prepare all surfaces for paint
- Mask vehicles ready for paint
- Work and communicate to assist painter
- Cleaning repair areas for masking and taping prior to primer and/or paint
- Masking vehicles to prevent over spray
- Sand and block primer to prepare for paint
- Occasional lifting of parts, such as hoods, doors, and panels is required
- Must be comfortable working while standing on ladders
- Full benefits package available after probationary period

Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of vehicles an asset
- Hard working, positive individual with the ability to take constructive criticism well is required.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Reliable transportation required
- Good time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience an asset but not required. Training available for the right fit

**Experience**:

- auto body repair: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
