We are currently looking for a **Delivery Driver (G Class)** to join our team in our **Brampton **branch, located at **24 Melanie Drive, Brampton, ON.**

**The Opportunity**:

- Monday to Friday
- 5:30 am - 2:30 pm (Start/end time may vary)

*Wage commensurate with experience

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Execute the delivery to the Customers according to the delivery route order as determined by the Supervisor and/or Router/Shipper, following the manifested stop sequence.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
- Responsible for ensuring product in truck is loaded in a safe manner prior to vehicle movement, the inspections and the maintenance of the truck, performing circle check of truck on a daily basis, and notifying supervisor of any problem(s).
- Execute customer and/or supplier pick-ups as required according to established procedures. Ensure proper documents are used and obtain signatures/proof of delivery (POD) where necessary.
- Complete all the necessary delivery documents according to the established procedures. Control data for certain reports and remit them to their immediate supervisor (i.e. Delivery run sheets, etc.).
- Follow safe driving practices and follow all Ministry of Transportation regulations.
- Ensure cash sale funds are picked up from the customer and given directly to appropriate staff.
- Maintain security of product and vehicle.
- Report job site progress and new development to supervisor.
- Liaise any information to improve delivery process with supervisor.
- Completes appropriate inspection documents (i.e. DVIR, inspection sheet, etc.).
- Utilize and maintain the GeoTab platform as required.
- Support the transportation of Company vehicles to and from the repair shop, as well as the pick-up of rental equipment, as required.
- Notify Supervisor of any at-fault accidents and/or tickets incurred at any given time during the course of employment.
- On occasion, put away stock and/or yard material in the appropriate location.
- Executes all other duties required by the position and/or asked by the immediate supervisor.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 2-3 Years’ experience as a Delivery Driver operating a 16’ cube van required
- Previous experience operating a 22’ single-axle box truck, an asset
- Valid class G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Previous forklift experience, an asset
- Working at Heights certification, an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Safety conscious, strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Comfortable with physical work including lifting, carrying and moving
- Able to respond positively to all situations that may occur in shipping, quick thinker and able to handle pressure
- Previous experience utilizing an electronic logging device (i.e. GeoTab), an asset
