Consideration will be given to those who:
(1) Meet the definition of a police officer as defined by the Nova Scotia Police Act & the Nova Scotia Department of Justice guidelines.
(2) Have successfully completed approved police recruiting training program from a recognized training institution or are an experienced police officer currently serving/have served within the past two years with a police service in Canada.
(3) Have served as a Canadian military police officer (regular service) with qualifications Level 5.

Applicants MUST:
(2) Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
(3) Have no criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted and no adult criminal charges pending.
(4) Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver’s license or equivalent from another Canadian province.
(5) Be able to meet the medical and physical requirements.
(6) Have a Driver’s Abstract indicating an acceptable driving record.

The Town of Stellarton offers 100% medical to all full-time employees.
