**Installation Technician**

Ambient Designs is a locally owned and operated company that offers Audio/Visual, and Custom Smart Home Integration throughout Muskoka. We are looking for an Installation Technician to join our growing team. **Responsibilities**:

- Rough-in and wiring of speakers, network equipment, and other low voltage systems
- Rack assembly and wire management
- Installation of Audio/Video and Blinds/Screens in a clean and safe manner
- Seasonal System Maintenance
- Work cooperatively and in collaboration with other trades on-site as required
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients
- Traveling to different jobs sites within the Muskoka Region
- Administrative tasks as required
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to work and think independently, and respectfully alongside other trades on job sites
- Ability to learn, take direction, and be responsible for carrying out that direction with precision and attention to detail
- Skilled with basic hand tools needed for AV equipment installation
- Basic knowledge of different wire types and their termination (Speaker, Category, Coax, Fiber, etc) is desirable
- Basic understanding of networking design, installation, and configuration an asset
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and documentation
- Professional attitude and work ethic
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces

**Working Conditions**:

- Drivers license
- Standing for most of the day - work on a ladder and/or in enclosed spaces
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs

**Experience**:
1- 2+ years of experience in a related field

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
