**What does a Receptionist do?**
- Answer telephone in an efficient, timely and polite manner; screen and direct calls
- Welcome visitors by greeting them; answering or referring inquiries; Quickly notify the person being visited
- Call customers with orders that are ready for pick up; print paper work ready for pick up
- Fax daily order status to customers; fax confirmation/acknowledgement of orders. Mail invoices
- Print sequential (copies of invoices in numerical order) and copy in binders
- Print any/all invoices for production control for orders being shipped to USA or other locations in Ontario
- Prepare packages and bill of lading for any packages/items to be mailed. Call Purolator for pick up. Packing slips (proof of pick up) to be filed in appropriate binder
- Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes
- Maintain a neat and tidy reception area, clearing up any clutter on an ongoing basis, and maintains a professional, comfortable general office atmosphere
- Oversee, sort and distribute of incoming and outgoing mail
- Prepare outgoing mail for pickup by the postal service or the courier
- File monthly report from fax machine. Perform necessary bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties
- Perform other clerical duties as required

**What you bring to the table**
- Completion of secondary school or two years experience as a receptionist
- Familiarity with current office equipment and computer software
- Typing skills - minimum 60 words per minute
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
- Good verbal and written skills
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to handle pressure; stress tolerance
- Attention to details
- Strong work ethics
- Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook, must be comfortable working with spreadsheets

- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
