**Logistics Supervisor II**:
The Logistics Supervisor II is accountable for utilization of warehouse space and processes. The role manages the logistics and warehousing personnel and acts as a liaison and business partner to shipyard and project collaborators.

**Duties and Accountabilities**
- Supervises logistics and warehouse team, including labor resource allocation, performance evaluation, hiring/termination as well as employee related issues.
- Manages inventory of goods for distribution for onsite and offsite locations.
- Develops and implements strategic processes, and instructions for warehouse management.
- Provides leadership and technical expertise on warehousing and logistics activities.
- Drives continuous improvement activities including development of supply chain processes, and development of Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure that Seaspan processes and procedures are continually being followed within the department.
- Ensures all Naval project materials (CFM and GSM) is stored and tracked in accordance with program requirements.
- Works with suppliers and service providers to ensure appropriate levels of service relative to warehousing and logistics.
- Attends' meetings and represents Supply Chain team from a Logistics perspective
- Participates and works in collaboration with the various corporate & operational procurement leadership to complete & implement Seaspan procurement initiatives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

**Qualification Requirements**
- Professional certification or training through an accredited procurement society such as; CPM (ISM) Program; CPIM/CSCP/CLTD (APICS) Program; or P.Log (Canadian Professional Logistics Institute) Program.
- Minimum 8 years of dynamically senior experience in supply chain management with a combination of operational and strategic logistics managing projects from end to end, including 5 years supervisory experience in supply chain management, procurement, materials management, distribution, or logistics as part of a large manufacturing organization.

**Skills, Knowledge, and Required Competencies**
- Knowledge of competitive buying practices
- Knowledge of distribution, warehousing, and material management principals.
- Experience with Customs and freight documentation
- Experience in working with bills of materials, equipment lists and product specifications (including government contracts)
- Customer service focus and interpersonal skills including problem solving and conflict resolution.
- Leadership skills including recruitment, personal development, performance management and succession planning.
- Proven understanding of MRP and ERP systems (JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP is desirable).
- Experience with warehouse management software.
- Communication skills: both written and verbal.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Good business judgment and reasoning skills.
- Advanced general digital literacy including (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
