**Nursing Resource Team**

This position has no set schedule, casual call‑ins

This position will involve working the day, evening, night, weekend shifts. The shift is not to be interpreted as a

guarantee.

Reports to and is supervised by the manager of the Nursing Resource team or designate. The Unit Care Aide (UCA)

performs a variety of tasks that enhance the overall functioning of the nursing unit and the delivery of patient care.

This position is for nursing students and can be maintained for up to 6 months after graduation while obtaining CNO

Registration.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:

- Currently enrolled and maintained enrollment in a nursing degree program or in a practical nursing program
- Current certification in CPR
- Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN) who have completed educational requirements must have initiated

registration with the CNO and are waiting to write the CNO registration exam

Skills/Abilities:

- Patient care experience preferably in an acute care setting
- Knowledge of infection control and isolation practices
- Able to assist/move patients by wheelchair or stretcher
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills Excellent observational skills
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing environments
- Sensitivity to patients in creating a comfortable and welcoming environment
- Ability to work well as a member of a health care team
- Ability to perform physical activity for long periods of time
- Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures

Salary Range: $24.239
