**Job Summary**
- **Line Leader**:_
- Hold valid Industrial skilled experience.
- A good understanding of the mechanical and electrical components of equipment used in the bakeshop and packaging departments (i.e. flow wrappers, metal detectors, etc.)
- Knowledge of shop tools (i.e. milling machines, lathes, grinders, drilling machines, welding)
- Troubleshooting, fixing mechanical problems, Set up equipment in an efficient manner.
- Performing major and minor adjustments to equipment in a reasonable timeframe.
- Performing all maintenance on plant equipment in a safe manner, ensuring equipment and machines are clean and in good working order, following GMP.
- Completion and submission of appropriate reports.
- Maintain a variety of mechanical equipment both corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Perform equipment/system improvements as well as research and test new equipment, complete all maintenance record keeping, and ensure all related information is available.
- Participate in the performance management process to keep work activities focused on company strategic objectives.
- A minimum of 3 years working experience with mechanical, electrical; including set-up, adjustments and troubleshooting
- Exceptional attendance record, ability to pay attention to small details.
- Flexible to move between shifts to meet department requirements.
- Good written and oral communication skills, in English
- Excellent work safety record on the technical side
- Complete all other duties as instructed and assigned by Supervisor and Manager.

**Pecific skills requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year local experience in Canada from within a Food Plant Manufacturing environment.

**Required skills**:

- Trouble shooting skills for Electrical & Mechanical problems
- Understanding of electrical circuitry
- Knowledge of PLC’s, maintenance shop machinery and electronics
- Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.
- Reading, writing and communication in English.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy machinery.
- Ability to work at heights,

**Responsibilities**
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and high-speed packaging machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Leads apprentices and directs them to ensure successful task completion.
- Ensure that all safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
- Prior work experience in the food industry and previous manufacturing experience preferred.

**Job Type & Payment**:

- Salary: From $19.00 to $22.00 per hour as per experience.
- Job is full time, Monday to Friday. 8 to 10 hours minimum (Afternoon and Night)

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
