Intermediate Underwriter

We are currently recruiting an **Intermediate Underwriter** for Personal Lines. This role is a permanent full-time position at our office in Drayton, Ontario, with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement (based on experience and proficiency in the role).

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Assess and evaluate risks within the personal lines portfolio
- Rating/pricing of risks using sound underwriting judgment
- Negotiation of renewal terms and new quotes
- Process new policies, renewals, and endorsements per our underwriting guidelines
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our broker partners
- Provide product training and support to brokers
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review information carefully & comprehensively
- Exercise decision-making skills with the ability to provide justification
- Outstanding issues to the Personal Lines Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary education
- 3+ years of farm underwriting experience
- CIP designation or actively pursuing
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to bring creativity to underwriting risks
- Well organized and thorough approach to completing tasks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Pay: $51,000.00-$76,000.00 per year
