The following skills and experience are required:

- Fluency in both official languages (French & English) written and oral is a requirement;
- First Aid and CPR Certificate(s)
- Good communication, observation and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to follow program guidelines and Individual Educational Plans
- Demonstrated ability to help children focus and control their emotions
- Previous experience working with students with exceptional needs will be an asset
- Willingness to assist with toileting and self-care needs
- WEVAS or other Non-Violent-Crisis Intervention training is preferred
- Previous Educational Assistant experience is preferred
- Preference will be given to those who are currently enrolled in or having completed an Educational

Assistant Diploma or willing to undertake the divisionally offered Educational Assistant
Development Program.
