What You Will Get To Do

Reporting to the Supervisor of Facilities, and under the direction of the Working Foreperson, Facilities, the Facility Attendant is responsible for providing daily cleaning and maintenance services, as identified through the Facility Maintenance Management Program including:

- the general maintenance, cleaning and repairs of the assigned Town of Whitby facility;
- maintaining swimming pools and whirlpools in accordance with the Government of Ontario, Health Protection and Promotion Act, R.R.O. 1990 Regulation 565, Public Pools and, if required, maintain the waterslide according to TSSA guidelines for operating Amusement Devises;
- assisting rental/permits groups with their needs, i.e. type of set-ups, number of guests, times, arrival times and accurate execution of permitted and special requests;
- responding to public and staff inquiries;
- providing training leadership and direction to junior employees including job specific training, guidance and division of responsibilities;
- other duties as may be required.

What You Bring To Our Team

As the successful applicant, you must possess:

- minimum of Grade 12 education;
- post-secondary course(s) in Building Operation and Maintenance;
- a Certified Pool Operator Certification;
- a minimum of twelve (12) months of related experience in building
