Private Security Guard

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking 4 highly motivated and reliable Security Guards to join our team at a new client location in Sydney, Nova Scotia. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Your primary duties will include surveillance, loss prevention, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

**Duties**:

- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Monitor to detect any suspicious activity
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying the identification of individuals entering the premises
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of security equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer skills for report writing

**Qualifications**:

- Over the age of 19 years old, no criminal record of any kind, no outstanding monies owed to the Province of Nova Scotia and must be willing to have a background check performed on them by the Nova Scotia Department of Justice

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Security Guard: 3 years (required)
