**Salary**: $3,241.74 to $4,362.44 bi-weekly ($84,609 - $113,859 per year)
The Court and Justice Services (CJS) Division provides a wide range of resolution and court services for people involved in legal disputes. In collaboration with the courts of Alberta, Court and Justice Services provides various programs and services including educating and helping Albertans finding solutions for legal issues, navigating the court system, offering programs at no cost or a nominal charge, and administrative support to all courts in Alberta.

Join our team as a Planning and Business Manager in the Court and Justice Services Division, where you’ll have the opportunity to play a critical role in front-line delivery and support government operations and priorities. As a Planning and Business Manager, you will:
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills to contribute to the development and implementation of a planning framework and continual improvement of Business Planning and Reporting (BP&R) and Action Request Tracking System (ARTS) processes for the Division.
- Lead the Policy, Analysis, and Communications unit in developing strategic policy documents and recommendations, research papers and evaluation, and external communications.
- Ensure all outcomes, particularly all written materials, are of high quality, comply with Government of Alberta (GoA), Ministry and Divisional guidelines and standards, and are completed and submitted within required timelines.
- Facilitate evidence-based decision-making and ensure that the Division’s planning and reporting obligations are met by performing environmental scanning (e-scanning), research, risk assessment and mitigation, and business planning.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Deputy Minister Office on any issues arising from policy or planning work in the division as well as with staff from all branches within the Division to ensure coordination and alignment. Perform other duties, as required.- Strategic thinking skills by having the ability to analyze complex issues, synthesize findings and identify actions and solutions.
- Well-developed facilitation, coordination, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to build effective working relationships to engage in collaborative activities and build consensus.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in a related field (e.g. Business Management, Justice Studies, Social Sciences, Journalism, etc.), supplemented by four (4) years of related experience in policy development, strategic planning, and reporting.
**Equivalency**:Directly related experience or education may be considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
**Assets**
- Work experience with business operational and strategic planning which includes enterprise risk management, performance measurement, and environmental scanning.
- Work experience with policy development and coordination.
