Asbestos Abatement Worker

We are looking for the right, hardworking, and committed individual to join our team performing interior demolition and asbestos abatement on a building in Penticton.

Your responsibilities will be a variety of duties such as preparation and cleanup of the construction site, bag debris, load/unload equipment and gear as required, dismantling walls or scraping floors, and raking the property after a building demolition. Following instructions from Supervisors and helping out your team to finish the job on time is the most critical part of this role.

The job entails on occasion wearing a Tyvek suit, half/full face respirator, and being able to lift approximately 25 kg. You will need to supply your own pair of steel toed boots, high vis vest, and hard hat.

The person we are looking for must:

- Have minimum 6 months construction experience
- Be punctual and on time
- Be committed to safety in the workplace
- Be well rounded and adaptable to a variety physical tasks
- Be organized and take pride in your work
- Be flexible to working overtime, and evening shifts
- Have a valid unrestricted Class 5 Drivers License

Wages starting from $23.30/hour, based on experience and training.
