**SHIPPING AND RECEIVING LEAD HAND**

As our Shipping and Receiving Lead Hand, you will join a team of dedicated individuals within our manufacturing operation. You will work closely with team members to ensure all warehouse/inventory activities are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. You are knowledgeable in Process Improvement and Inventory Control. Your work habits emphasize safety for yourself and your co-workers. You must have proven coaching and leadership skills to mentor a highly productive team and support a positive team morale as you are both first level support to other roles within the warehouse and will act in a training capacity to help others progress in their job development.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Receipt, reconciliation, and put-away of inbound inventory / shipments.
- Picklist coordination, packaging - boxing and crating (may require building of wooden crates for large or heavy products) and shipment of outbound orders / inventory.
- Logging and tracking all shipments / receipts in company system.
- Ensuring all processes are adhered to; documenting new processes when required.
- Working closely with Operations to ensure related service and customer goals and project timelines are met.
- Providing exceptional customer service to our clients (internal/external).
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-shift inspections.
- Keeps the warehouse and production work areas organized and tidy and implement general safety and housekeeping practices.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by management.
- This position may also require overtime as needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 4 - 6 years of related work experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk continuously and perform physical tasks.
- Experience in forklift, pallet jack and overhead crane operation (valid certification preferred but training can be provided).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Skills in basic computer software, such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
- Basic math, writing and oral communication abilities.
- Able to work occasional weekends, holidays and evenings as required.
