Automation PLC Specialist

**Responsibilities**
- Writing and maintaining documents of changes to PLC code, programs, and specifications
- Knowledge of instrumentation, HMI's, and calibration equipment
- Modifying and maintaining PLC software
- Create a database of plant programs
- Provide training and skills evaluations for shift technicians
- Plans and executes software and program updates
- Diagnose and resolve system problems
- Be able to keep detailed records of project scope and timelines
- Assist on-shift technicians with troubleshooting production equipment
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Work with all vendors (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron)
- Shift coverage and shift work may be required
- Create a positive work environment
- Perform all other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Must hold a valid license, or more than 10 years of experience in the trade is required
- Related designation in PLC programming is preferred
- Knowledge of complex electrical systems, PLC programming, troubleshooting, data collection, and root cause analyses
- A team builder who is self-managed and able to set priorities among conflicting priorities
