The Power to Be International (PTBI) is a registered charitable organization, dedicated to providing specialized educational, leadership, and mental health programs and services to the BIPOC and QTBIPOC youth community. The organization works from an anti-Black racism, anti-racist and anti-oppression perspectives.

**Who you are**:
The Role will include supporting our fund strategy with activities plans, income targets and metrics, creating and building donor relationships and administrative duties with a mandate to develop the roadmap for funding initiatives for the organization.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

The following are the principal qualifications for this position:
**Education**

Postsecondary degree or diploma in public relations and\or fundraising management

**Experience**
- Minimum three years of fundraising experience (ideally in a not-for-profit setting)
- Experience with individual giving, planned giving and/or monthly giving programs
- Proven success with donor prospecting, relations, stewardship and recognition
- Experience managing a donor pipeline; familiarity with fundraising

**Skills**
- Solid understanding of basic fundraising principles
- Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time.
- Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives
- Demonstrated success building, cultivating and stewarding new relationships
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and funding
- Proven track record of supporting staff and volunteer involvement in major gift solicitations
- Ability to build strong relationships with new people and organizations
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, desktop publishing and database programs
- Efficient while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organized, systematic and able to prioritize, schedule and perform complex tasks on time and with mínimal supervision
- Success in driving results by working collaboratively and cooperatively with staff and volunteers

**Accountable to**: Board of Directors and PTBI Sr. Project Manager;
**Salary/Contract: Starting at $28.00/4 month contract**

**Working Conditions**: This will be a hybrid-remote position consisting of on-site work at a base office in Ajax, ON, and work-from-home functions.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ajax, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ajax, ON
