**Supply Chain Supervisor**

WECO is currently looking for a talented and seasoned **Supply Chain Supervisor** to lead our Supply Chain department.

**OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY**:
Reporting directly to the President, the **Supply Chain Supervisor** will have the overall responsibility for providing strategic leadership to all aspects of supply chain management functions from order entry to order fulfillment, including production planning and scheduling, sourcing, purchasing, logistics, inventory management and warehousing. The Supply Chain Manager will become part of a dynamic team whose primary focus will be to manage the supply chain for WECO’s Canadian division, with a certain involvement at the global level of the organization.

**Overall responsibilities include**:
1. Obtaining input from key stakeholders to determine long-term supply chain requirements

2. Implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy while minimizing risk on the business and maximizing market demand fulfilment.

3. Minimizing inventory investment and maximizing effective cost management through the coordination of internal procurement and planning activities.

4. Implementing supplier partnership programs with an emphasis on long-term relationships to facilitate supplier base rationalization, reduced inventory levels, improved quality, reduced cycle time, JIT delivery, and effective cost management.

5. Providing strategic cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Quality, Production and Customer Service departments to ensure team alignment and execute strategic planning initiatives.

**SCOPE OF THE ROLE**:
**1. Planning & Forecasting**
- Lead the Sales & Operations planning review process
- Establish the sales forecast, the master production schedule, and the purchasing plan to meet on-time delivery and inventory objectives

**2. Production Scheduling**
- Determine and plan for capacity requirements for the production area and for subcontractors
- Manage manufacturing lead times, execute production planning, and ensure on-time material availability to support alignment of the production plan with customer demand while minimizing inventory

**3. Sourcing**
- Oversee sourcing, materials replenishment and contracting of suppliers, as well as the regular evaluation of supplier performance

**4. Logistics**
- Manage logistics process of supply chain for shipping/receiving of parts, finished goods, and returns on products
- Design, implement, and oversee product take back or reverse logistics programs to ensure products are recycled, reused, or responsibly disposed

**5. Other**
- Direct supervision of 2 Buyer/Planner working in the Supply Chain department
- Provide the proper planning, staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, performance management and evaluation of supply chain personnel
- Keep records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective
- Establish a global manufacturing strategy, including optimization and rationalization, In collaboration with the management
- Implement Best-In-Class business processes within the supply chain, both internally and with our suppliers
- Support the continuous improvement program by identifying opportunities for improvement and by implementing them
- Establish and follow-up on local and global Supply Chain KPIs

**COMMUNICATION**:

- Act as an internal liaison with Production, Quality, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Finance departments
- Act as an external liaison with other WECO global divisions, local and overseas suppliers, and business partners

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Experience**:

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, including managing supply chain teams
- Must have experience within a manufacturing environment

**Education**:

- University education preferably in Operations Management and/or Supply Chain

**Knowledge**:

- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of supply chain management, including planning, forecasting, production scheduling, sourcing and logistics
- Comprehensive experience with ERP systems; production management is a requirement (Symix/Syteline or other).
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Language**:French and English**(English being required to communicate with other divisions)
