**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics / Warehouse Associate will be responsible for leading the day to day workload related to, pick and pack, consolidation, shipping, receiving and material handling for product that is shipped throughout Canada, USA, Mexico and Internationally, while promoting an environment where safety, quality, mutual respect, and productivity are key priorities.

DUTIES OF THE JOB: *
- Load and unload shipments
- Validate paperwork and sign for shipments
- Ensure proper ShopEdge entries are recorded
- Sort and organize shipments following F.I.F.O. procedures
- Ensure material is moved into and out of shipping or receiving are to appropriate warehouse location in a timely manner
- Responsible to properly label all incoming and outgoing goods
- Liaison with vendor regarding any shipping discrepancies and/or missing certificates/paperwork
- Inspect incoming material as per appropriate inspection procedures
- Liaison with Quality Control Department and Purchasing regarding any quality or shipment issues
- Ensure paperwork if filed and passed onto appropriate department in a timely manner
- Responsible for proper tracking of empty containers
- Assist with cycle counting of inventory
- Responsible to ensure all parts are packed in preparation of shipping
- Assist production with material movement as required
- Participate in physical inventory, if required
- Assist shipping/receiving department as required

- Willingness to take additional training courses, as required.
- Achieve performance requirements in a responsible and economical manner.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Omex Manufacturing ULC Code of Conduct.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workbench.

BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: *
- 1 year Previous shipping/receiving experience
- A valid driver’s license
- Tow motor license or willing to become licensed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office
- Understanding of quality systems and inspection
- Experience in high volume OEM manufacturing preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Work in an organized, professional and cooperative manner
- Communicate effectively, give and receive instructions accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), as required
