**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and maintain accurate financial records for multiple sets of books related to commercial real estate and development projects, holding companies, and partnerships.
- Ensure the timely closing of the books, as well as timely filing of corporate taxes and sales taxes (GST, QST).
- Prepare and file all required corporate and sales tax returns.
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and the general ledger, using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements using Syft Analytics.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and laws.
- Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assist the executive team with various financial and administrative tasks as required.
- Organize and maintain files and documents.
- Handle expenses and process invoices.
- Manage payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment of wages.
- Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Support financial aspects of new project development, including cost analysis, budgeting, and financial planning.

**Qualifications**:

- **CPA** certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (**QBO**)
- Organized and attention to detail
- Proficient in English and French.
- Experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
