Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full-Time Permanent Educational Assistant 2 to work

Guthrie School, located just minutes north of the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert, sits on CFB

Edmonton Garrison military base. It serves Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-9, with an approximate

total population of 270 students and 50 staff. Guthrie School encourages students to be critical

thinkers, engaged in their own learning environment, and creative with their problem-solving.

**FTE**: 1.0 FTE; 6.5 hrs/day; Full-Time Permanent

**Duties**: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will assist the

teacher in an Elementary classroom.

**Qualifications & Experience**: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference is given to applicants with positive behaviour supports and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Understanding how to utilize PODD to support students would be an asset. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.

**Hourly Rate**: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
