**About your next** Challenge** as a **Technical Editor**:
**What You Will Do**:
- Proofs and edits the publications (English and French text and illustrations) for format, consistency, grammar and completeness in accordance with applicable contract specifications.
- Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure documentation accuracy and clarity.
- Ensures documentation adheres to applicable standards.
- Completes and signs off the applicable editing procedures and checklists.
- Prepares certificates to accompany each publication task.
- Initiates, develops and maintains a close working relationship with other team members and the supervisor.
- Completes each editing tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Manages multiple documents and delivery schedules in a dynamic environment.
- Supports the coordinator in the preparation of work packages for distribution to the Technical Writers.
**Required Skills and Experiences**:
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years professional writing and copy editing experience.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills in English and French (mandatory).
- Practical knowledge of S1000D, ATA 2100/2200 and C-01-100-100/AG-006 specifications an important asset.
- Practical knowledge of XML and Arbortext Epic Editor considered an important asset.
- A self-starter who can work independently or within a team environment.
- Able to identify and communicate problems.
- Able to adapt to changing requirements, scope, and schedule.
- Able to work with aggressive timelines.
- A proven track record for on-time delivery within budget.
**Eligibility Criteria**:
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR);
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada **“Reliability”** status and **Level 2 (Secret)** security clearance;
- For on-site positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required.
