Amity Industrial provides a high level of service and quality products to its vast customers. Our Edmonton team is seeking a self-motivated and experienced warehouse associate to join our team.

**WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Warehouse associate performs a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and effective management of receiving and shipping activities to meet customer needs. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, planning, organization and multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, as well as, computer skills.

**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for receiving, loading, and unloading trailers, picking orders, restocking shelfs.
- Pick, pack and ship customer orders
- Accountable for productivity and efficiencies of warehouse operations
- Ensures all orders are picked and ready for shipment in a safe and timely manner.
- Optimizes the use of warehouse resources to meet customer shipping requirements.
- Ensures efficient operations are maintained by optimizing availability of efficient and safe equipment, identifying process improvement opportunities, etc.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Comply with Amity Industrial health and safety policies, procedures and practices, and other legislation and regulatory requirements.

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 1 year in the warehousing or distribution sector
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to safely lift weight of up to 50 lbs while unassisted.
- Effectively prioritize work and ability to meet time sensitive orders.
- Good computer skills
- Industry experience and/or product knowledge is an asset.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Forklift experience required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
