Spray Painter

**About the Role / Responsibilities**
- Knowledge of Grip-Gard EFx-LV or Matthews or Other Polyurethane / Enamel / Epoxy based paint systems.
- Color formula retrieval.
- Measuring different components and mixing to make custom colors as per formulas.
- Knowledge of additives
- Brush/roll on additives, super top coat
- Experience with rolling and spray painting different substrates, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, acrylic, pvc and wood.
- Surface preparation of substrate by sanding and cleaning using power and hand sanders.
- Use of power and air tools.
- Air adjustments for different thickness of paints, drying times for handling
- Cleaning of spray gun and spray booth, change of filter system.
- Use of heat based baking system of the Spray Booth.
- Keep a track of material inventory and place timely orders with the purchasing team.
- Use of various types of measuring sticks for mixing of toners, reducer and hardener
- Handling of cleaning solvents.
- Knowledge of proper disposal of paint waste
- Performing maintenance and repairs to signs as needed.
- Operating and maintaining the tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Assists in other areas of sign production as assigned
- Performs finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting of printed pieces
- Installs of all type of signs
- Work on different projects simultaneously

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to work at heights with ladders and Bucket / Crane Truck
- 3+ years of experience in industrial spray painting, sign installation, construction and related fields
- A sound understanding of the applicable installation methods, materials, and safety measures.
- The ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Must be able to read and write English
- Manual dexterity
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for out-of-office installations is an asset
- Ability to demonstrate effective listening and verbal skills
- Basic math skills ( Knowledge in scale & measurements is essential )
- Capacity to read Blueprints Plans, use measuring tape and work with numbers
- Ability to work with others as a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours as the project schedule demands
- Ability to multitask and work with multiple teams for multiple projects at once
- Keen observer, fast learner with excellent oral and written communication
