- WHAT YOU’LL DO: _
- This individual will provide direction, leadership, support and guidance in day-to-day activities within the MDR Department and Operating Room in accordance with the strategic plan and philosophy and values of the Health Centre including all technical aspects of Sterile Processing and staff at PRHC. The supervisor will facilitate day to day management issues in the delivery of safe patient care and quality product delivery including instruments, equipment and supplies to the Operating Room surgeons and staff. The Supervisor will be involved in planning and problem solving on a daily basis. The supervisor will be responsible for the day to day inventory management of supplies, returns and repairs in OR/MDR. _
- WHAT YOU’LL BRING: _
- Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. _
- Five years minimum experience in Sterile Processing. _
- 2 -3 years of Supervisory experience. _
- Certification in a Central Service Technical Course or CSAO course required. _
- Completion of CHA management courses or equivalent would be an asset. _
- Advance knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation. _
- Excellent human resources management and leadership skills. _
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and patients/families. _
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. _
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at a time. _
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames. _
- Excellent conflict resolution and change management skills. _
- Computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs. _
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education. _
- Membership and participation in a relevant professional organization. _
- Knowledge of collective agreements would be an asset. _
