Host/hostess

**Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House** is a growing **breakfast/lunch** chain that is looking for **Host and Hostess** as we continue to expand and grow.

We are hiring for the **Elmira** location.

**Job Requirements**:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist guests with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests
- Take reservations over the phone and through online platforms
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Answer guest inquiries and provide information about the restaurant
- Collaborate with servers to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner

**Skills**:

- Strong guest service skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Previous experience in a restaurant **(Not preferred but nice to have)**:

- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a **plus**:

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage waitlists effectively
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with tact

**Job Type**: Part-time
