Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services is a multi-service Indigenous wellbeing agency. We provide a stable foundation for children, youth, and families, through wraparound services that are culturally based, and family focused.

**Purpose of the Position**:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide level 1 to level 2 support to all end user staff. This position also includes the responsibility to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain server equipment, MFP devices, audio/visual equipment and mobile devices.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Install, move, and test network hardware, software, cabling and peripherals, performing repairs and regular maintenance as required. (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- This position will focus on Networking Infrastructure including but not limited to LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure and will work closely with other operations staff supporting the same.
- Maintain the database system and security software utilized on the network, adding new users and establishing appropriate rights and privileges.
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interruption to the network or services for others.
- Perform regular backups of files stored on the network, assisting in recovery efforts as required.
- Provide technical assistance to other agency personnel (e.g. Provide assistance setting up or using computer/AV equipment and scanning system).
- Maintain a proper inventory of network-related materials.
- Evaluate user requests for new data elements and systems and communicate with programmers.
- Analyze user support statistics and other data and recommend appropriate measures.
- Assist in the evaluation of agency hardware and software and make recommendations regarding its use.
- Participate in team meetings, staff meetings, in-service training sessions, performance evaluation sessions, service planning sessions and other meetings, as requested.
- Perform such other duties as may be from time to time assigned on an emergency basis or included as part of the annual work plan.
- Follow standardized procedures and create new procedures when required
- Provide preventative maintenance on workstations, servers and printers.
- To provide other duties as assigned.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

**Education & Experience**:

- 2 or 3-year degree or diploma in computer science or related field;
- Minimum of 2 years or relevant Tier I or Tier II work experience;
- Experience of Windows Server 2016 setup and maintenance;
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server setup and management;
- Experience with active directory management and user security;
- Experience with creating and deploying group policies;
- Experience with firewalls, switching, and routing principals;
- Experience with Office 365
- Superior customer service skills;
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills

**Knowledge Requirements**:

- A sound knowledge of a full range of computer network software programs and computer hardware components in use within or being considered for use within Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services. The incumbent must have the capacity to learn program features quickly, often in a self-directed way, and must have the confidence and capacity to seek support and training options and present them for consideration to ensure ongoing skill and expertise.
- The capacity to troubleshoot and remedy hardware and software difficulties quickly and efficiently and to provide staff with sound consultation regarding solutions in a manner and at a pace that is most helpful.
- A strong commitment to quality customer service and the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with agency personnel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.

**Ability Requirements**:

- Ability to travel to any satellite office on needs basis.
- Effectively and efficiently use relevant computer software and other office equipment (e.g., copiers, scanners, etc.).
- Organizational routine office work.
- Communicate effectively with both other staff and clients of the Program.
- Work cooperatively with other staff, management, and the Board of Directors.
- Relate effectively to community members.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Provide an acceptable Canadian Police Information Centre Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
- Able to provide a safe vehicle for use on the job, an acceptable Driver’s Abstract, evidence of a valid Ontario Driver’s License and of Personal Liability & Property Damage insurance coverage for at least $2,000,000.00.
